Today I am practicing with banner ads, as you can tell. I placed one on the top for an example. You do have to copy and paste the embedded code link on HTML tab above to make it work or you have to have a "widget". I have not advanced enough for the widget yet, but it looked fairly easy!! This is so nifty. I like the animated one above for promoting my base plan. You can rent space on different sites to place these banner ads. If you have facebook, over on the right, there is all sorts of banner ads. The prices for doing this depend on the location of the banner. There are also some online magazines you can put banner ads on and again, pricing varies depending on the location. I am initially trying to keep my expenditures low, so will not start out with banners just yet.
I also learned today that your links for other ads need to be clickable. In other words, if you copy and paste a link and it is not underlined and highlighted in blue, it is not clickable. I learned that you must try the link out after you paste it just to make sure it is clickable. My Word program has a chain looking icon at the top that enables me to do this. Also this blog site has a Link icon that will do it also. What I did was copied and pasted the links onto a word document and saved it. I also double checked that they worked. Now I can go to the word document and use the links from there that are ready to go.
Here is an example of a link: http://m0be.com/susa775/a1a2d7f2
This one is geared for folks that are nearing retirement or have retired already and are looking for additional income.
I also took a step out in faith and placed what they call a solo ad today. To the best of my knowledge, what it is is you send your ad to someone who has acquired a good email list. They will send out your ad to all their followers. The ad contains a link like above, so when people open their email, they can click on the link to get more information. You pay anywhere from .25 cents or above for each "click" you receive from their email list. I bought 100 clicks for .55 per click. I could have gone cheaper with another persons email list, but I wanted to target a specific audience, so I did it. Here is the example of the solo Ad I placed:
