Greetings- introduction

This is the start of my work from home adventure. First, a little about myself.

I worked as a Real Estate Broker for over 10 years when I decided to go back to college and get my degree.  I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and then continued on to get my Masters Degree in Human Resources.  For the next 10 years, I worked as a Probation and Parole Officer, and boy did I see some stuff!!  Over the 10 years, I observed that the mindset of my "clients" change in a very negative way, they were getting very devious, difficult and dangerous, so I decided to move on to bigger and better things. Being that I enjoy helping people, I thought well maybe I should work as a child welfare specialist.  I just thought I had seen some bad things with my previous clients, but the things that happen to these young children was downright disturbing.  I wanted to bring home every child on my caseload.  My heart bled for them.

After much thought and prayer, I decided that maybe I needed to help people in a different way, so I went into finance.  Here again, my heart bled for some of these folks as I saw how they were caught up in a never ending financial dilemma.  My services were not going to help them get out of the dilemma, but only out of their current financial crisis.  Not that this was bad or anything, I just wanted to do more.

The opportunity arouse for me to use my Masters Degree and I took a job as a Human Resource Director at a non-profit mental health center.  Was I surprised when I saw that my office contained a typewriter, 10 key, nine filing cabinets full of papers and an entire storage building filled with HR documents from over the last 30 years!!  I had no copier, fax or scanner and no computer tracking program.  I didn't know people still operated any business this way.  Over the next year, I moved the HR department into a totally paperless system.  This was not an easy feat by any means, but I felt that I had accomplished something positive, but there was never anyway I could financially get ahead.  I was paid a minimal amount for my time with no real personal satisfaction.

.I am now up in years, ready to retire and have been reflecting over my life.  What do I have to show for my life long endeavors?  Of course I have two wonderful grown children and two beautiful grandchildren, that in itself should be enough, but I want more.  I want to be able to provide for my elderly mother, take her places she has never seen before.  Do things with her in the time she has left.  I want to be able to take my entire family out to a nice restaurant or on a wonderful vacation.

So I started researching working from home and ran across online marketing.  I reviewed over several different programs and finally decided on one. Follow my blog in discovering the big wide world of online marketing...and the internet! There's a link below if you would like to check it out.  All things are possible, See you tomorrow if I can find this blog again!
